Abstract
Data construction appendix to IPM-36-9 documenting the methodology for extending the BEA-BLS industry-level production account from 1998 to 1987, including: gross output and intermediate input backcasting; SIC-to-NAICS concordance construction; incorporation of major definitional changes (R&D capitalization, own-account entertainment originals); and the updating of labour composition data for changes in educational attainment reporting.
