An 884-page volume in the Industry Canada Research Series bringing together twenty-five studies on Canadian productivity, undertaken in-house by Industry Canada or commissioned from outside researchers. Several had already figured prominently in the productivity debate; many were published here for the first time. The volume is organised in six parts: productivity trends and determinants; innovation and productivity; investment and productivity; global linkages and productivity; productivity in the new economy; and the social aspects of productivity. Only the table of contents and the editors’ introduction were digitised on the CSLS website, in both English and French; this record reproduces all four of those files. The full volume remains available in print from the University of Calgary Press.
Ouvrage de 884 pages de la collection de recherche d’Industrie Canada réunissant vingt-cinq études sur la productivité canadienne, réalisées à l’interne par Industrie Canada ou commandées à des chercheurs de l’extérieur. Plusieurs avaient déjà occupé une place importante dans le débat sur la productivité; beaucoup sont publiées ici pour la première fois. Le volume comprend six parties : tendances et déterminants de la productivité; innovation et productivité; investissement et productivité; liens mondiaux et productivité; productivité dans la nouvelle économie; et aspects sociaux de la productivité. Seules la table des matières et l’introduction ont été numérisées, dans les deux langues officielles.
