This report develops and presents the Atlantic Canada Momentum Index, a scorecard of 20 indicators in six domains — macro-economy, human capital, labour market performance, innovation and investment, quality of life, and overall life satisfaction — to assess economic momentum in Atlantic Canada. Atlantic Canada has gathered significant economic momentum since the mid-2010s, recording population growth and improvements across a broad range of indicators that have significantly outpaced Canada as a whole. The report provides fact sheets for each of the four Atlantic provinces and identifies areas experiencing momentum and areas still lacking it.

Ce rapport élabore et présente l’Indice de momentum économique du Canada atlantique, un tableau de bord de 20 indicateurs répartis en six domaines — la macroéconomie, le capital humain, la performance du marché du travail, l’innovation et l’investissement, la qualité de vie et la satisfaction globale à l’égard de la vie — visant à évaluer le momentum économique au Canada atlantique. Le Canada atlantique a accumulé un momentum économique important depuis le milieu des années 2010, enregistrant une croissance démographique et des améliorations dans un large éventail d’indicateurs qui ont nettement surpassé celles de l’ensemble du Canada. Le rapport fournit des fiches d’information pour chacune des quatre provinces atlantiques et cerne les domaines où le momentum se manifeste et ceux où il fait encore défaut.
