Also, estimates of the sources of labour productivity growth (capital intensity, labour quality, and multifactor productivity) are presented. Furthermore, this report examines the labour productivity gap between the provinces and the Canadian average. The report closes with a provincial and industry-level perspective on Alberta‘s relative productivity performance. Ce rapport présente de nouvelles estimations des niveaux et des taux de croissance de la productivité du travail, du capital et multifactorielle pour les provinces canadiennes par industrie, pour la période 1997-2007, à l’échelle du secteur marchand ainsi que des industries à deux et trois chiffres du SCIAN. Des estimations des sources de la croissance de la productivité du travail (intensité capitalistique, qualité de la main-d’œuvre et productivité multifactorielle) sont également présentées. De plus, ce rapport examine l’écart de productivité du travail entre les provinces et la moyenne canadienne. Le rapport se termine par une perspective provinciale et industrielle sur la performance relative de l’Alberta en matière de productivité.
