The Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development’s (OECD’s) inclusive growth framework offers a novel approach for improved evaluation of policies with multidimensional consequences. We discuss the inclusive growth framework and how it can be utilized by business leaders and policymakers to make superior policy decisions. Using an inclusive growth index of living standards developed by the OECD, we decompose growth in living standards due to increased life expectancy in Canada between 2000 and 2011 by cause of death and estimate the equivalent value of these reductions in mortality in terms of income. We discuss factors underlying these reductions in mortality and suggest how they have been linked to policy. This exercise illustrates one way in which the inclusive growth framework can be used to evaluate the impacts of health policy. Bien que de nombreuses évaluations économiques existantes des politiques de santé reconnaissent les résultats multidimensionnels et l’importance de l’égalité, la plupart n’intègrent pas tous les résultats pertinents dans une mesure globale unique aux fins de l’analyse coûts-avantages. Le cadre de croissance inclusive de l’Organisation de coopération et de développement économiques (OCDE) propose une approche novatrice pour améliorer l’évaluation des politiques ayant des conséquences multidimensionnelles. Nous examinons le cadre de croissance inclusive et la façon dont il peut être utilisé par les chefs d’entreprise et les décideurs pour prendre de meilleures décisions politiques. À l’aide d’un indice de croissance inclusive du niveau de vie élaboré par l’OCDE, nous décomposons la croissance du niveau de vie attribuable à l’augmentation de l’espérance de vie au Canada entre 2000 et 2011, selon la cause de décès, et estimons la valeur équivalente de ces réductions de la mortalité en termes de revenu.
