It is organized into three parts: a discussion of general framework issues including aggregative versus non-aggregative approaches, variable selection, and evaluation criteria; a review of six particularly important frameworks including the EU Social Indicators, Human Development Index, OECD Social Indicators, CSLS IEWB, Treasury Board Quality of Life Indicators, and Gender Equality Indicators; and a survey of an additional 31 sets of indicators and composite indexes across economic, social, and labour market domains. Ce rapport présente une recension de la littérature sur les cadres conceptuels et opérationnels des macro-indicateurs de bien-être économique, du marché du travail et social. Il se divise en trois parties : une discussion des enjeux généraux liés aux cadres, y compris les approches agrégatives et non agrégatives, la sélection des variables et les critères d’évaluation; une recension de six cadres particulièrement importants, soit les indicateurs sociaux de l’UE, l’Indice de développement humain, les indicateurs sociaux de l’OCDE, l’IBEE du CSLS, les indicateurs de qualité de vie du Conseil du Trésor, et les indicateurs d’égalité entre les sexes; et un survol de 31 autres ensembles d’indicateurs et d’indices composites couvrant les domaines économique, social et du marché du travail.
