The report assesses Canada’s data availability and quality across six thematic priority areas: ending poverty, ensuring quality education, creating inclusive economic growth, ensuring energy and infrastructure access, establishing a sustainable environment, and promoting open and accountable institutions. It finds that Canada has strong data infrastructure in many areas but important gaps in monitoring sustainable development outcomes. Cette étude de cas canadienne, qui s’inscrit dans l’initiative Post-2015 Data Test, examine la capacité du Canada à assurer le suivi et la production de rapports sur un programme de développement durable pour l’après-2015. Le rapport évalue la disponibilité et la qualité des données canadiennes dans six domaines prioritaires : l’élimination de la pauvreté, l’accès à une éducation de qualité, la création d’une croissance économique inclusive, l’accès à l’énergie et aux infrastructures, l’établissement d’un environnement durable, et la promotion d’institutions ouvertes et responsables. Le rapport constate que le Canada dispose d’une solide infrastructure de données dans de nombreux domaines, mais relève d’importantes lacunes dans le suivi des résultats en matière de développement durable.
