The reviewer summarizes the volume’s proposal to integrate the BEA National Income and Product Accounts, BLS productivity accounts, and Federal Reserve balance sheets into a fully integrated system of national accounts, discusses the implications of including imputed capital rental prices in GDP, and assesses the potential impact on measured economic growth and productivity. Cet article de recension examine le volume du NBER A New Architecture for the U.S. National Accounts sous la direction de Jorgenson, Landefeld et Nordhaus. Le recenceur résume la proposition du volume visant à intégrer les Comptes du revenu national et du produit du BEA, les comptes de productivité du BLS et les bilans de la Réserve fédérale dans un système pleinement intégré de comptes nationaux, examine les implications de l’inclusion des prix de location imputés du capital dans le PIB, et évalue l’impact potentiel sur la croissance économique mesurée et la productivité.
