Jock Finlayson

Jock Finlayson is chief economist at Independent Contractors and Businesses Association (ICBA) since 2023. Prior to that he was the Executive Vice President and Chief Policy Officer at the Business Council of British Columbia where he has worked since 1994. He has served on a number of boards of directors and advisory groups for a number of organizations, including the Bank of Canada, Statistics Canada’s National Statistics Council, the Institute for Research on Public Policy, the Canada West Foundation, Genome BC and the B.C. Innovation Council. In addition, he has served as president of the Association of Professional Economists of B.C. and the Ottawa Economics Association.
