Dr. Michelle Alexopoulos

Dr. Michelle Alexopoulos is a Professor of Economics at the Univeristy of Toronto with a cross appointment to the faculty of Information. She holds a PhD in Economics from NorthWestern University. In 2023-2024 she served as the Chair of the Canadian Economics Association. She is a Bank of Canada Fellow. Her research primarily focuses on business cycles, monetary policy, technical change, economic uncertainty, labour markets and productivity.
